Common GDPR questions

Is RevealVisitor GDPR compliant?

RevealVisitor is designed to support GDPR-compliant use. It returns company information and does not create profiles of named visitors. Your organisation is still responsible for how you use the product, including choosing a lawful basis and updating your privacy notice.

Does RevealVisitor process personal data?

Some technical data, including IP addresses, may be personal data under GDPR. We use this data to match a visit to a company and minimise it afterwards. We don’t collect names or email addresses, build personal profiles, or track people across websites.

Aren’t IP addresses considered personal data?

They can be, depending on the context. We use IP addresses to match a visit to a company, then minimise that data. We don’t use IP addresses to create personal profiles or sell them to third parties.

Do I need cookie consent to run the pixel?

That depends on your setup and the laws that apply to your organisation. RevealVisitor does not use cross-site tracking cookies, but you should still review your consent and privacy notice requirements with your legal adviser.

Do you sell or share our data?

No. We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share your visitor data with third parties for advertising.

Can we get a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)?
